Website News Flash Banner

The Fourth of July Celebration in Trophy Club Texas is a time-honored tradition that encompasses three separate events throughout the day.  This is the largest event effort the town has in place and it is a cherished tradition for all who attend and participate.

The first event is the Patriot 5K and Fun Run which takes place during the morning time at 7:15 AM.  Staff works tirelessly to organize and facilitate the over 500 participants who come out show their patriotism and run with pride.  The Patriot 5K & Fun Run will start and finish at Byron Nelson High School. IMPACT: Vehicle traffic altered during Patriot 5K and Fun Run, 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM

With pedestrian safety in mind, the Trophy Club Police Department will be altering traffic patterns during the upcoming 4th of July 5k Patriot Race from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Participants will be utilizing the traditional 5k route from BNHS to Freedom Dog Park and back along Bobcat Dr, Trophy Club Dr. and Trophy Park Drive. The westbound lanes of Trophy Club Drive will be used for race participants. The eastbound lanes will be divided, providing both eastbound and westbound vehicle traffic to flow. Barriers, dividers, police, and volunteers will be staged along the route to assure safety. Please review the 5K TRAFFIC MAP and contact Captain Steve Woodard at 682-237-2954 with questions.

The next event is the Parade of Patriots at 9:30 AM, which showcases over 45 festively decorated floats that moves along a flag-lined route leaving from Byron Nelson High School.  This event is a personal favorite to many; the Parade of Patriots features local associations, businesses and special guests who all turn out to continue to show the town's patriotism with gusto. Residents are welcome to set up blankets and chairs along the parade route to enjoy the fun and creative float entries. Patriotic beads and American flags will be passed out 15 minutes prior to the start of the parade to all parade bystanders. IMPACT: Vehicle traffic altered during the 4th of July Parade, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

With pedestrian and participant safety in mind, the Trophy Club Police Department will be altering traffic patterns during the annual Parade of Patriots, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. As is illustrated on the PARADE TRAFFIC MAP, areas located within the boundaries of Bobcat Drive, Trophy Club Drive, Durango Drive, and Parkview Drive will have NO VEHICLE ACCESS other than for emergencies during that period. Police officers, volunteers, barriers, dividers, and signage will be in place to keep people safe. Please plan accordingly on July 4th to accommodate your travel plans. Contact Captain Steve Woodard at 682-237-2954 if you have questions.

Lastly, the Town of Trophy Clubs activities culminates with Celebration and Fireworks event which take place at Independence Park boasting an attendance of nearly 4,000 people.  Featuring a safe and family atmosphere for people to come and enjoy live entertainment, activities for kids, food and drink options, and a glittering display of fireworks.  Make sure you find a good spot to watch the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Launched from nearby and synchronized to patriotic favorites, the best view spots can be seen from in and around Independence Park.  Be sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs. It is the perfect ending to a day dedicated to the nation's freedom and those who serve and protect it.  Interested in becoming a vendor at the event?  CLICK HERE.
