TROPHY CLUB, TX (June 14, 2023) - The Town of Trophy Club was honored to receive two overall awards, including one first-place award, the TAMI Award, and one second-place award, the Award of Excellence, at the annual Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in Arlington held June 08, 2023. This year's awards follow up a TAMI Award (1st place), two Awards of Honor (3rd place) received in 2022, and an Award of Excellence (2nd place) received in 2019.
TAMIO Awards recognize outstanding communication efforts by Texas communities across various categories, including websites, social media, video production, and publications. The judging panel, composed of experts in communications and municipal government, diligently evaluated the entries. This year, the TAMIO Awards received a record-breaking number of submissions, with over 500 entries, marking the highest number of submissions ever received.
Trophy Club's dedication to providing informative and engaging content to its residents was acknowledged through two esteemed accolades.
The Town's Annual Report earned the highly coveted TAMI Award, securing the first-place position in the Publications - Report category for communities with a population under 75,000. Additionally, the video production of four 30-second short videos titled "Fourth of July Shorties" was honored with an Award of Excellence, securing the second-place position in the Video - Best Use of Short-Form category for communities with a population under 100,000.
Mayor Jeanette Tiffany expressed her gratitude, stating, "We take great pride in delivering robust communication to the Town of Trophy Club, and these awards highlight the remarkable work accomplished by our team."
Director of Communication Jill Lind expressed her appreciation, stating, "Receiving these prestigious awards is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team. It inspires us to continue finding innovative ways to strengthen communication and serve the community."

The Annual Report was refreshed with the goal of making it more comprehensive, engaging, visually appealing, and experiential. This was accomplished by expanding the content to tell a better story, adding visually appealing elements to accompany the content’s story, and giving the document life through an interactive delivery program. The report now serves as an essential tool for transparent communication with our residents.
Fourth of July Shorties - Award of Excellence (2nd place)
Category: Video - Best Use of Short-Form (population under 100,000)
This series of humorous yet adorable 30-second videos titled "Fourth of July Shorties” feature a little boy getting ready for the events for the Town's Fourth of July festivities, showcasing the Patriot Run, Parade of Patriots, and Fireworks Celebration. The final video captures the boy reminiscing about the event and expressing gratitude to sponsors, leaving a lasting impression with the phrase, "It was perfect." These deliver clever content through an innovative approach, promoting community engagement and fostering excitement for the Trophy Club’s largest event, the Fourth of July Celebration.
