During his extensive career, he has had the privilege of working in Patrol, Vice, Narcotics, SWAT, Training, Communications, and Criminal Investigations, as both an officer and supervisor. His versatility and dedication to public service have been demonstrated time and again, making him a highly respected and admired member of the law enforcement community.
Captain Woodard has been involved in many prominent cases throughout his career, including the “Escape and Capture of the Texas 7” and the capture and conviction of Yaser Said, an FBI Top 10 fugitive who had been on the run for nearly 12 years after murdering his two daughters. His contributions to these cases and others have made a significant impact on public safety in his community.
