Trophy Club, TX (March 20, 2023) – Trophy Club Town Manager Wade Carroll has announced that he will be leaving his position in May to become the Town Manager in Westlake, Texas. Carroll has served as Town Manager since June 2021.
Carroll has been with the Town of Trophy Club since 2017. He was Interim Town Manager after having served as Assistant Town Manager since November 2019. Before that, he was the Interim Town Manager for five months in 2019 after having served two years as Fire Chief.
“This has been a very difficult decision for me, but one that I felt was best for my family and career moving forward,” stated Carroll. “I wanted to make a difference in Trophy Club and push us towards a new level of excellence. I believe that we have done just that thanks to the amazing staff here in Trophy Club. We have all worked diligently to move us in a direction of integrity and strong customer service in every area of our provided service. I am certain that Council and staff will continue to work together to ensure our citizens are cared for properly.” Carroll said.
Town Council Mayor Alicia Fleury noted, “Wade Carroll is one of the most outstanding leaders I have worked with. Leaders inspire, and Wade has done just that. He has inspired us – Town staff, Council members, and our community – to work as a team to achieve more than we thought possible. Wade’s determined style, coupled with his knowledge and amiability, are powerful combinations. He has earned the respect of our local community as well as municipal leaders throughout the State. Knowing that the work he has inspired has made us a stronger community, it is with regret that we accept his resignation and offer our sincere thanks and best wishes.”
Town Council has authorized the Director of Human Resources to conduct a national search for the Town Manager position. In the meantime, Carroll will continue to fulfill his role in Trophy Club until later this Spring.
“It has been my honor and pleasure to work for this Council and the citizens of Trophy Club,” Carroll said. “Council has both pushed me and supported me through this journey and I am truly appreciative of my time here.”
