[ARCHIVED] Town Manager Leaves Trophy Club

JP Interim TM2

Trophy Club Town Council and Town Manager Thomas M. Class Sr. have agreed to part ways two years after having started his position in Trophy Club. Mayor Nick Sanders announced that Council had accepted Class’s voluntary separation agreement following a May 13, 2019, Special Council meeting.

Mr. Class came to Trophy Club following a 27-year career with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  During his tenure, Mr. Class worked diligently to manage Town operations and ensure that Trophy Club maintained its standing as a premier residential community and a “great place to call home”.

“Mr. Class served the Town of Trophy Club with great honor and integrity and decency and the Town Council appreciates his efforts and wishes him well in all future endeavors,” stated Mayor Sanders, “He has helped move the Town forward in significant ways.”

Director of Administrative & Financial Services, Jonathan Phillips was named Interim Town Manager. Phillips will continue to serve in this capacity for the next 5 weeks while the Town Council works to fill the Town Manager position.

The Trophy Club Town Manager’s responsibilities are to serve as Chief Executive Officer for the Town of Trophy Club, overseeing all town departments, managing operations and ensuring that the vision, policies, initiatives, and ordinances of the Town Council are enforced.

“The Town Council is charged with making policy decisions for Trophy Club, and we as Town employees have the responsibility to enact the decisions they make”, stated Phillips. “With respect to that, the Town Council and I believe our employees are providing and will continue to provide the best service we can to this community. We have a strong team in place, full of good employees who care about Trophy Club, and we’ll continue doing the job that needs to be done for our community.”
