Captain Tillman has been in Public Safety for 39 years, 4 of them with TCPD. Tillman’s career has been filled with outstanding accomplishments, ranging from patrol and narcotics work as a police officer to training new agents at the FBI Academy.
Two major accomplishments that stand out in Tillman's career involve serious situations. As a member of the FBI SWAT Team, his team was able to take down an armed kidnapper who kidnapped an IT Corporate Executive from his home and held him for ransom without any harm to the victim. The second situation involved the kidnapping of a 5-year-old girl. After nearly 24 hours of work, Tillman led a team to identify the suspect, recover the little girl, and ultimately convict them.
Tillman loves being able to help people in their time of need. His satisfaction comes from the victim knowing he did everything he could do to solve their problem. "Although we might not always catch the bad guy or solve a crime, we want the victim to feel and know we are doing everything in our power to help them; and not just me but everyone in the department" - Captain Tillman.
