Captain Woodard is proud of nearly 38 years of law enforcement service without serious injury. During that time, he's had the privilege of working in Patrol, Vice, Narcotics, SWAT, Training, Communications, and Criminal Investigations, as an officer and supervisor.
He has worked on many prominent cases in a variety of capacities, including the “Escape and Capture of the Texas 7” after murdering an Irving Police Officer, as well as the recent case of Yaser Said, an FBI Top 10 fugitive for nearly 12 years, after murdering his two daughters. Said was captured last year and convicted last week of the crime.
He loves that at the foundation of law enforcement lies the core values of integrity, commitment, honor, and service. Those benchmarks happen to coincide with his Christian faith and natural personality.
