[ARCHIVED] TC Welcomes New Assistant to the Town Manager.

Trophy Club, TX (January 03, 2023) – The Town of Trophy Club has announced it has welcomed Tamara Smith as the new Assistant to the Town Manager.

Smith graduated from TWU with a bachelor’s degree in business administration management. Smith also holds a master’s in strategic leadership from North Central University. 

Smith has worked in the public, private, and non-profit worlds. Having almost a decade of experience in the public sector working for the City of Denton, the City of Grand Prairie, the City of Coppell, and now the Town of Trophy Club. 

"I am very excited about adding Tamara to our team. She possesses a unique set of skills and experience that will help further our strategic plan development, enhance our efforts in grant application/grant management, and bring creativity to our process improvement initiatives,” said Town Manager Wade Carroll. “She brings a wealth of knowledge, and I’m excited to see the changes her presence will bring to the team. Tamara aspires to be a City Manager someday, and I’m excited to have the opportunity to aid her in her development.”

In addition, Smith has completed the Texas Women’s Leading Government Institute Beta class with the program’s esteemed leader Karen Daly. Smith is also a member of the Texas City Management Association, Women in Heals, and Engaging Local Government Leaders. 

“On behalf of Town Council, I’m delighted to welcome Tamara to Trophy Club,” stated Mayor Alicia Fleury. “With a strong background in local government and in the DFW area, Tamara understands Trophy Club’s unique opportunities and challenges. I have no doubt she will provide exceptional leadership for this organization and will be a valuable partner to Town Council and staff while serving our residents, businesses, and visitors.”

“I am excited to be in Trophy Club,” Smith said. “I thrive working as part of a team, especially one built around servant leadership.”
