Trophy Club, TX (November 08, 2022) – Last night, at the Trophy Club Town Council Meeting, the Town of Trophy Club Fire Department was awarded the 2022 Achievement of Excellence Platinum Level Award.
The TC FD team received the award officially at the 2022 Annual Texas Fire Marshal's Conference in October. TXFMA President Ariana Kistner stated: "On behalf of the Texas Fire Marshals Association, I would like to express our appreciation and admiration for this department's phenomenal efforts to advance fire prevention in their community and beyond. Their dedication to our chosen profession is impressive. All the extra hours they put into their jobs and their professionalism serve as motivation for us all. This level of dedication and professionalism in the field of fire prevention are the cornerstones of what this award represents."
The Achievement of Excellence in Fire Prevention Award ("AEFP Award") is an annual award recognizing organizations for performance excellence in fire prevention. Established in 2008, the AEFP Award is administered by the Texas Fire Marshal's Association (TxFMA"), the official State Chapter of the International Fire Marshal's Association.
"I want to say a special thanks to those who helped to make this happen, including former Chief Jay Taylor and Chief Gary Cochran, for their vision; the Trophy Club Fire Department team for carrying the message; and our community stakeholders for responding to that message," said Chief Wise. "I would especially like to thank our Senior Administrative Assistant, Tracy Knierim, for her unsolicited actions and commitment to the department."
To successfully receive the "Achievement of Excellence in Fire Prevention" award, the applicant must obtain at least 125 points for Bronze Level/ 150 points for Silver/ 175 points for Gold out of a possible,e 200 points. For three consecutive Gold level awards, the applicant receives a Platinum Award is awarded.

"As with any fire prevention program, there is always room for improvement. Now that Deputy Chief Ken Rawlinson is on board, I am confident his experience and leadership will elevate the standard in Trophy Club," said Chief Wise.
