Trophy Club, TX (August 09, 2022) – Police and Fire departments often support significantly different organizational structures but serve the same mission: to safeguard the community and prevent harm. This is true as both departments are directly tied to public safety within the Trophy Club community.
The Trophy Club Police & Fire Facebook pages were initially designed to establish community-based communication channels that provided content specific to each separate department. Each has been managed by its departments, including officers and fire personnel who have a direct connection to the content.
When the Trophy Club team took a closer look at how it communicates regarding public safety, they first looked at the two separate Facebook pages each department had. The team discussed the vision and goals for both Police and Fire services and how many of the topics covered on each respective page often mirrored each other. As a result, Chief Arata, the newly welcomed Chief Wise, and the Communications team found themselves asking, why not combine efforts and resources?
The primary purpose of merging the two separate Facebook pages will be to create a single place for Trophy Club residents to find public safety information quickly and easily. Now known as @ Trophy Club Public Safety – Police & Fire, it will serve as a communication platform that humanizes both departments while getting important messages out to those who support and follow the page. Information such as:
- Public Safety Information
- Weather Notices
- Warnings and threats relevant to TC
- Emergency Situation Notices (i.e., Fire, Burglary, etc.)
- Statewide Notices
- Department News
- Department training
- Events
- Promotions / new hires
- Department culture
The @TrophyClubPublicSafety-Police&Fire social media page will act as a marketing and communication tool. It is essential to know that the page is not monitored 24/7, so if someone is seeking immediate assistance, making a complaint, or would like to report a crime, please call 9-1-1.
