[ARCHIVED] TC Alerts joins AlertMedia to Enhance Service

Alert Media and TC Alerts

Trophy Club, TX (June 27, 2022) – Keeping our community safe, informed, and connected has always been a goal of your Town leadership.

To reach that goal, the Trophy Club Communications & Marketing Department has been working on launching a more reliable software solution for communicating emergency and non-emergency events and news to the entire community. Such events may include inclement weather, office closures, IT outages, security risks, epidemics, etc.

In December of 2021, our TC Alerts partner provided a revamped platform enhancement for Trophy Club to expand its software services. However, the updated platform left the TC team with significant gaps in changing certain functions of the Town's system. With the contract term expiring in the Spring, staff sought a solution to provide the resources and technical capabilities subscribers were used to before the new platform launched.

Following a detailed search with some of the top-rated and most functional municipal communications solutions available, staff selected AlertMedia to take over the TC Alerts back-end software system.

What does that mean for our TC Alert users?

The good news is that the only significant impact for TC Alert users! AlertMedia will send out registration invites, allowing you to confirm/update your profile information, set contact preferences, and set a password for your profile.

IMPORTANT: Setting a password will REGISTER your profile and allow you to access AlertMedia’s mobile app should you choose to download it.

If you need to reset your password at any point, please get in touch with AlertMedia’s 24/7 Support Team at [email protected] or call 1-800-826-0777.

What do TC Alert users need to know?

Monday, June 27th, 2022, two messages will be sent out to ALL TC ALERT USERS, via email and text, through the OLD platform, letting you know the number from which they receive their alerts is changing. Then, the same message will be sent out from the NEW platform so users can see the new formatting and SAVE THE NUMBER. This one-time process is per recommendations from the FCC.

What’s new?

AlertMedia will be the new emergency mass communications software that allows Town staff to easily communicate with all subscribers via their simple multi-channel messaging interface. TC staff will continue to deploy messages on various channels, including text, email, mobile app (NEW), and voice call (emergencies only), with new functional capabilities that were previously lacking. In addition, people can confirm receipt or give feedback using audience tools like read receipts, surveys, and incoming messages.

When will it launch?

The anticipated rollout of the new AlertMedia software is on Monday, June 27th, 2022. On this day, Town staff will send out the first test notification to all subscribers.

The Trophy Club Communications & Marketing Department appreciates the community’s patience while finding the best platform for the Town’s messaging. The Town of TC would like the THANK YOU for supporting its ongoing efforts to keep the Trophy Club community safe and business running smoothly while continuing to make TC a “Great Place to Call Home.”

If you have any questions, please contact the Trophy Club Communications & Marketing Department at (682) 237-2987.
