TROPHY CLUB – TX | Kindness Awareness Month is back in Trophy Club! Hope Kindness Community is the local organization that continues to bring together the entire community in a joint effort to spread kindness throughout the month-long “Campaign 4 Kindness”.
On January 25, 2022, the Town of Trophy Club leadership, State Farm Agent and local volunteer extraordinaire Chasidy Murphy, came together to kick-off the #Campaign4Kindness movement with a Proclamation at the Town Council meeting. Mayor Alicia Fleury remarked, “As Mayor of Trophy Club, along with Town Council, I’m proclaiming February 2022 as Kindness Awareness Month. We encourage our residents to participate in “Campaign 4 Kindness” in the spirit of compassion, kindness, and goodwill toward all persons.” Mayor Fleury extended many thanks to Ms. Murphy for being a bright light in the TC community and a wonderful example of what kindness looks like in a volunteer, a good neighbor and overall amazing person.
Throughout the entire month, there will be events, activities and kindness challenges planned with the goal of spreading of goodwill in Trophy Club. Trophy Club schools will be challenged to perform RANDOM, as well as CONSCIOUS, ACTS of KINDNESS with the purpose of inspiring students to choose kindness and prove that every person, regardless of their circumstances, can make a difference in the world. Campaign 4 Kindness activities will be offered throughout the month of February with each school having specific plans for the month.
Mayor Fleury noted, “the intentionality of Kindness Month is to have a common focus that our town and beyond can experience big results through the small, yet powerful acts of many”.
In addition to the Proclamation, the Town of Trophy Club is hosting the annual “Fun Run 4 Kindness Patriotic Run” February 26th at Trophy Club Park. The fun run will include the option to participate in a 5K or 1 mile loop. This colorful run is a perfect event to bring the family together for a good cause. The run's mission will continue to create and encourage kindness throughout our community and raise proceeds for a non-profit organization as in years past. This year’s proceeds will go to GallantFew in support of veteran service members and their families. Participants are encouraged to wear their Fun Run shirt along with other light-colored clothing because NEW THIS YEAR, throughout the event, there will be “blasted” bursts of colored powder in a patriotic fashion!
Everyone is encouraged to spread kindness and share their photos on social media by using #Campaign4Kindness and their respective hashtags. Through this campaign, students, their families, and our residents are being called to action to change the Trophy Club community and the world.
