Trophy Club, TX (October 20, 2022) – OneSource Communications continues their work installing new fiber-optic network lines in Trophy Club. Please see the below update provided by both OneSource Communications and their contractor Hunt Communications.
- The project is nearing its final stages w/ ETA of completion in November/December.
- Crews have finished the construction of their pipe, however, still have to install a little more fiber. Hunt Communications also has crews working on clean-up and sod placement before it gets cooler. In addition, over the next few days they will be working off the list accumulated regarding damages and restoration. Crews will be trying to place the majority of sod. If there is anywhere missed as the project continues, please touch base with the below contacts, and they will get their contractor involved to get things resolved ASAP. OneSource anticipates all the restoration work to coincide with build completion and landscape done by end of December/January
- The OneSource team learned of a small overlay of existing fiber in two small sections of the project a couple of weeks ago when it was brought to their attention by a council member. At that time, it was past the point of no return against the work conducted. The legacy fiber did not show up on the FCC mapping that they use to identify the existing network and it was just missed. This is not something OneSource would normally approve or support as they do not wish to go head-to-head with AT&T fiber because there is less value add to the community with an FTTP network already in place. The good news for the residents covered in this section, is they will now have a fiber choice to take advantage of and not just an exclusive.
- OneSource Communications will be at the October 25th, 2022 Town Council Meeting to provide a further update and answer questions.
