[ARCHIVED] Trophy Lakes Brick Wall Construction Project

HOA Reconstruction

Update January 12, 2022: The contractor working on the Trophy Lakes brick wall project has estimated they are approximately 85-90% complete with the first section of wall alongside Trophy Club Dr. They have completed demolition of the existing wall in the second section and have set up form boards for the footer of the wall. The contractor is hoping to be completely done with the wall project by March, weather permitting.

Thank you for your continued patience during this time, we again apologize for the inconvenience during this work. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin O'Dell at 682-237-2936.

Update November 10, 2021: Town staff has talked with the contractor working on the Trophy Lakes brick wall project after watching the impacts the construction has had on traffic thus far. It has been determined that while there is reasonable protection for the crews working along the 600 feet of lane closure, there IS an impact to drivers in that area particularly during the morning commute hours. As a result, the right lane closure times will be limited and will take place only between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM to better accommodate traffic mobility.

TC elementary schools currently begin at 7:40 AM with the majority of Southbound school traffic in that area generally over by 8:00 AM. The goal in delaying the right lane closure to 8:00 AM is to lessen the impact for morning commuters. This change should alleviate the feeling that students need to be dropped off earlier in order to arrive on time or before school is prepared for their arrival.

As a reminder, this project is expected to last approximately 3 months. Traffic control devices will be picked up today by 5:00 PM. Staff will continue to monitor traffic / progress and make any necessary accommodations where possible to help mitigate concerns while the project is completed.

Thank you for your continued patience during this time, we again apologize for the inconvenience during this work. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin O'Dell at 682-237-2936.

Update November 08, 2021: The contractor has informed us that for the first two weeks of the project, the barricades will be left in place overnight, leaving approx. 600 LF of Trophy Club Drive (between Lilyfield Dr and Durango Drive) reduced to one lane.  After the first two weeks of construction are complete, the contractor anticipates moving the barricades at night as previously planned, opening up the road for drivers.

Thank you for your continued patience during this time, we again apologize for the inconvenience during this work. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin O'Dell at 682-237-2936.

The starting point for the reconstruction will now be at Durango working North towards Roseville. The contractors plan at this time is to block off 600 feet of roadway during the day, moving the barricades off the road in the evening.
