HWY 170 CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES: As part of the State Highway 170 construction the contractor will be opening new crossover bridges and u-turn lanes at N. Beach Street and Westport Parkway in Spring of 2023 (see map below). Once both of the new crossovers are fully open to traffic, the existing crossovers at Alta Vista Road, Haslet-Roanoke Road and Roanoke Road will be permanently closed. Alta Vista, Haslet-Roanoke and Roanoke will also still have access to the frontage roads (right-in/right-out) but traffic will no longer be able to go directly across SH 170 at those locations. Opening of the new crossovers at N. Beach Street and Westport Parkway will also involve activation of new traffic signals at their intersections with the SH 170 frontage roads. As traffic patterns change in the area motorists should proceed with caution.

HWY 170 CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES:
WHAT: Per Texas A&M Transportation Institute SH 170 TRAFFIC PATTERN CHANGE IN WESTBOUND DIRECTION NEAR SH 114, Westbound frontage road and exit ramp to Parish Lane to reopen following the completion of drainage improvements.
WHEN: Begins Friday, March 31st (weather permitting).
WHERE: Westbound State Highway (SH) 170 frontage road between Parish Lane and Roanoke Road exit ramp and Parish Lane exit ramp.
Following completion of the culvert drainage improvements, the SH 170 contractor is planning to reopen the section of Westbound SH 170 frontage road between Parish Lane and the Roanoke Road exit ramp on Friday, March 31st (weather permitting). The Westbound exit ramp from SH 170 to Parish Lane will also be reopened as part of this traffic pattern change.

SH 114 & SH 170 CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES: Motorists will experience a change in the traffic pattern in the westbound direction of SH 170 between SH 114 and Roanoke Road starting on Thursday, February 9th. Currently, all westbound traffic from SH 114 going to SH 170 is forced to exit Parish Lane and then on the frontage road to continue on SH 170. This new traffic pattern will be implemented to allow the contractor to build the last portion of a new drainage system under the westbound frontage road. The new westbound SH 170 traffic pattern between SH 114 and Roanoke Road is described below starting with the closures needed to facilitate the final phase of the drainage system installation:

- SH 170 westbound frontage road between the Parish Lane westbound to eastbound u-turn lane and the Roanoke Road exit

SH 170 CONSTRUCTIONYou can expect an increase in traffic in and around Trophy Club / Westlake in the coming weeks. The Town of Trophy Club has been notified that Charles Schwab’s employees will be returning to work adding more cars to our roads soon. 1,200 employees were welcomed back this week, nearly 1,000 are due to return next week, then roughly another 1,000 the week of May 9th. Then the week of May 16th, 1,800 employees will return to Schwab’s TD Ameritrade campus in Southlake, which will also impact traffic in Westlake.
styIn addition, construction is near moving along on SH 170. The new Texas U-turns located at SH 170 and US 377 will open late Sunday, just in time for your Monday morning commute. For the time being, the temporary road at Roanoke Road is still open.

SH 114/377 CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES: HIKE AND BIKE TRAIL ACCESS AT SH-114/US-377 TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE THROUGH JULY. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the Cade Branch Hike and Bike Trail in Roanoke from 7 a.m. April 18 through 6 p.m. July 22. The interruption allows crews to continue construction of a new bridge at State Highway 114 (SH 114) and US Highway 377 (US 377).
The closure is necessary to complete the project in a safe and proper manner. The city of Roanoke supports closing the trail in the interest of public safety.
Work on the new SH 114 bridge, which will improve traffic flow in the area, will require additional trail closures to ensure safety in the coming year.
The community will continue to be notified of future trail closures in advance. The bridge is expected to be complete in early 2023.

SH 114/377 CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES: Weather permitting, The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will fully close the US 377/SH 114 intersection from 7 p.m. Friday, April 8 to 6 a.m. Saturday, April 9.
Left turn lanes to US 377 will also close during this time.
Drivers should follow the marked detour or seek alternate routes. Expect delays and plan ahead for extra travel time in this area. Message boards have been placed to alert drivers of upcoming construction activities. TxDOT is urging motorists to use caution in the work zone.

SH 114 and HWY 377 CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES: The Texas Department of Transportation is planning to fully close down the major interchange of Hwys 377/114 for two nights next week.
Weather permitting, TxDOT crews will fully close all lanes at the interchange from 7 PM March 22 to 6 AM March 23, and then again from 9 PM March 23 to 6 AM March 24. Drivers should follow the marked detour or seek alternate routes, and they should expect delays. Plan for extra travel time in the area and use caution.

BUSINESS 114 CLOSURE AT CANNON PARKWAY:Weather permitting, all lanes of North and Southbound Business 114 (BUS 114/Byron Nelson Blvd.) will be closed between Oak Street and Cannon Parkway in Roanoke from Saturday, September. 25 at 4 AM through Monday, Sept. 27 at 4 AM for drainage installation. A signed detour will be in place, and drivers will need to plan extra travel time in this area.
This work is part of an ongoing $33.7 million improvement project to reconstruct and widen US 377 from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with raised medians and sidewalks. Additional left-turn lanes and traffic signals will be constructed at several intersections. The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2023.

This will be a three-year TxDOT project including the following improvements to the highway frontage roads and ramp facilities from Westlake Parkway to Dove Road in Southlake.
Frontage Road Improvements (Green):
- Eastbound frontage road – FM 1938 (Davis Blvd) to Kirkwood/Solana Blvd
- Eastbound frontage road – Kirkwood/Solana Blvd to Dove Road
- Westbound frontage road – Dove Road to Kirkwood/Solana Blvd
These improvements include extensions to the eastbound lanes of the frontage road from FM 1938 (Davis Blvd) to Dove Rd and the westbound lanes from Dove Rd to Kirkwood/Solana Blvd.
Impact: The U-Turn on the eastside of the FM 1938 (Davis Blvd) will be closed starting January 8.
Barriers will be installed within the shoulder section along the mainlines of eastbound SH114 west of the FM 1938 (Davis Blvd) overpass beginning January 8th
Ramp Improvements (orange):
Eastbound entrance ramps – Three (3) total
- Eastbound exit ramps – Two (2) total
- Westbound entrance ramps – Two (2) total
- Westbound exit ramps – Two (2) total
These improvements include the realignment of the current ramps between FM 1938 (Davis Blvd) and Kirkwood/Solana Blvd.
Impact: Various ramps throughout the project limits will be closed at different times throughout the project. The first closure will occur with the entrance ramp west of FM 1938 (Davis Blvd)on January 8th.
U-Turn Improvements(Blue):
Eastbound to westbound at Kirkwood/Solana Blvd
- Westbound to eastbound at Kirkwood/Solana Blvd
- Eastbound to westbound at Dove Road
These improvements include adding U-Turn under SH 114 and Kirkwood/Solana Blvd and Dove Road.
Impact: Various lane closures near the improvements will be closed at different times. The first U-turn improvements are anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2021.
