Each year on National Wreaths Across America Day, millions of Americans come together to REMEMBER the fallen, HONOR those that serve and their families, and TEACH the next generation about the value of freedom.
The Medlin Cemetery in Trophy Club was registered with the Wreaths Across America (WAA) national network in 2019. The Metroport Veterans Association in conjunction with the Trophy Club Police and Fire departments and the Town of Trophy Club invite the community to participate in National Wreaths Across America Day on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Medlin Cemetery.
We will be honoring all veterans and active military members by placing live wreaths on the headstones of our veterans. The fresh evergreens have been used for centuries as a symbol recognizing honor and as a living tribute renewed annually. We want people to see the tradition as a living memorial to veterans and their families.
This ceremony is always a free event and open to all people. Volunteers and supporters are needed to help us honor our veterans by sponsoring wreaths and then placing them on the headstones at Medlin Cemetery. Sponsoring a wreath for a local veteran is $15 ($5 is donated to Gallant Few a local non-profit that assists our area veterans).
