----------

This morning we share the unfortunate news that Trophy Club has received confirmation from Denton County Public Health about a confirmed case of COVID-19 here in town.

We know you probably have a lot of questions hearing that, so we apologize in advance that because of privacy laws around personal medical information, we don’t have any answers right now to offer you about who this individual is or how they may have contracted the virus.

We all knew this announcement was coming, particularly as cases were confirmed in so many of our neighboring communities, but it’s hard nonetheless to confirm that COVID-19 has officially reached us.

Trophy Club is one of 20 cases that have been confirmed in Tarrant and Denton County and 19 pending County assignment cases since the close of business yesterday. Others had previously been confirmed in adjacent cities of Grapevine (1), Fort Worth (11), North Richland Hills (2), Keller (1), Denton (7), Carrollton (1) and Southlake (3).  As more people are being tested, the County Health Departments are expecting these numbers to rise.

As we continue through the weekend, our thoughts are with all of you and your families. Our primary concern is the health and safety of the community and members of the TC team. We will continue to work with local, state and federal partners, following advice and directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), and the Denton and Tarrant County Health Departments. As stated previously, these next few weeks are going to be tough on everyone.  Please extend an extra amount of kindness in the upcoming weeks to each other.

For questions ABOUT CORONAVIRUS, including symptoms, treatments or testing contact the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) COVID-19 Call Center for questions:

  • Email: [email protected]
  • DSHS COVID-19 Call Center: Dial 211, Option 6
  • Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., 7 Days a Week

For questions about TOWN SERVICES, please contact:

Lastly, please remember, if you are sick, have a fever, cough, or tightness in your chest STAY HOME.  All of our TC residents need to practice social distancing, staying a minimum of 6 ft. away from others and not congregating in groups over 10.  This is vitally important to slow the spread of this disease. We will get through this together. Be safe and stay healthy, Trophy Club.
