Trophy Club, TX (January 27, 2020) – The Town of Trophy Club has announced Mike Erwin, a Texas native, will serve as the new finance manager.
Erwin is an executive leader with expertise in all facets of accounting, financial management, financial analysis, and controllership within local governments. He is skilled in collaborating with all members of the organizations he works within while achieving quality results in his business and financial objectives. Erwin has been instrumental in streamlining and improving processes, enhancing productivity, and implementing technology solutions. He excels as a financial point person for Executive Management, Operations, and IT, while continually and significantly improving performance.
Previously, Erwin served as the Director of Finance for the City of Decatur and City of Kerrville Texas. Previous to that, Erwin worked as the Director of Strategic Planning and Budgeting in Roswell, Georgia as well as having served as the Corporate Budget Manager for the City of Austin.
“The Town of Trophy Club is proud to have Mike as our finance manager, who will spearhead the conservative and responsible fiscal management of the town’s finances, which comes from our town taxpayers and the retail sales tax collected in our community,” said Trophy Club Town Manager Steve Norwood. “I’m also excited about Mike exploring new strategic financing tools that will continue to ensure our financial security for now and in the future.”
Erwin, who earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University, a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of North Texas, is a certified government finance officer and a certified government financial manager.
