In Like A Lion... Out Like A Lamb!

Posted on April 2, 2021 at 7:47 AM by Jill Lind

April 01, 2021:

What is that old saying..."In like a lion, out like a lamb""? Well, that certainly described the first few months of 2021 for us!  January - March, our residents and neighbors, were the living definition of kindness: by being friendly, generous, and considerate.

During the historical cold weather and all the challenges it brought, the actions of kindness in Trophy Club were numerous and a testament to why we are truly a community with great heart.

This generosity for others is what helped us get through that extremely tough week...from sharing groceries and tools, to instructions on “how to” handle impacts from the weather, to the countless “how can I help you” offers among neighbors.

Our Town staff and elected officials, many of which, like many of you, had no power and/or water for days, worked tirelessly gathering and disseminating information while advocating for our community.

The Town’s official Kindness Awareness Month events concluded with the VIRTUAL Fun Run 4 Kindness, where 100 percent of proceeds benefited Support Our Soldiers, the service project chosen by our students. T-Shirts are still available for purchase, so we can continue to spread kindness, year round.

As we finally swing into Spring, I hope everyone enjoys EGGstravaganza! And, I look forward to more April events, like the TCWC Community Garage Sale and the Town Community Clean-Up. For the latest and most accurate information, be sure to sign-up for TC Alerts via trophy

See ya around town!

Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring!

Posted on March 31, 2021 at 12:08 PM by Jill Lind

March 01, 2021:

This month we can wave goodbye to Winter and say hello to Spring!  It may still be a bit chilly, and a tad wet, but the eternal optimism of Spring is definitely in the air.

The smell of fresh cut grass, the sound of birds chirping in the morning, the feel of fresh breezes and watching the trees dance in the wind are all the more reason to get back outdoors and Trophy Club has the perfect spots to do so:

  • Freedom Dog Park is a "leash free" zone for our canine friends and has a Dino playground for our little ones to explore.
  • Harmony Park features two playgrounds for ages 2-5 and 5-12, nine soccer fields, two tennis/pickleball courts, three shaded bocce courts and a basketball court.
  • Independence Park is dedicated to youth sports, like baseball, and outdoor recreation activities.
  • Trophy Club Park accommodates many activities, including ATV/motocross, boating, biking, hiking, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding and disc golf.

And, don’t forget to explore our local businesses...they make it easy to drink and dine outside, switch from hot coffee to iced, play golf, exercise and enjoy some refreshingly cold ice cream! A great way to do this is to “attend” the covid-friendly BNHS PTSA Taste & Talent in late March, featuring our local businesses and restaurants.

Hopefully, these ideas will put a spring back in your step while you enjoy all Trophy Club has to offer!

Full Spring Ahead!

Choose Kindness

Posted on March 31, 2021 at 12:08 PM by Jill Lind

February 01, 2021:

Mayor Fleury
One of the very special things about our Town is the eagerness to spread kindness. February is National Kindness Month and for the past three years, Trophy Club has been the host to Campaign 4 Kindness... a student-led, community-supported initiative, including a “Fun Run 4 Kindness” 5K, School Assemblies and Service Projects through a coordinated partnership between Northwest ISD Education Foundation, Beck Elementary School, Lakeview Elementary School, Medlin Middle School, Byron Nelson High School, the Town of Trophy Club and Hope Kindness Community (HKC). Designed to create a culture of kindness, this Campaign brings together students, their families and our residents, calling them to action in order to change their community, and the world.

It’s also fitting for Chris Bailey and Family of Everybody Love Everybody to be featured this month, as his efforts of kindness are prevalent, year round, focusing on helping the homeless.

Several of our residents,  nonprofits and  and businesses also step in to help our schools and families in need, even while struggling themselves, during these uncertain times.

I couldn’t be more proud to call Trophy Club home and to volunteer  alongside these amazing people who put service above self. If you’d like to find out more about spreading kindness, this month and year round, there are many opportunities. Here are just a few of those opportunities:
