The Trophy Club Arts and Culture Ad Hoc Committee consists of 8 - 10 members appointed by the Mayor and approved by Town Council for a one-year term. The Arts and Culture Ad Hoc Committee will set goals, develop an action plan, set a scope, and establish priorities to recommend to the Town Council to create a future Arts and Culture Commission.
The future Arts and Culture Commission would potentially advise the Town Council on all matters related to the abovementioned priorities established by the Arts and Culture Ad Hoc Committee. Once formed, the Arts and Culture Commission would then seek to align all public art and culture initiatives in Trophy Club and would head several arts-related programs throughout the year.
More information regarding the Arts and Culture Ad Hoc Committee will be available soon.
Meetings will be called by the Chairperson once they are appointed.
Agendas will be available at the meetings and provided by the Chair. At this time, this is a citizen-led Ad Hoc Committee.
A designated staff liaison will serve as the Committee's staff liaison.
Ad Hoc Committee
Ad Hoc Committees are created to serve a specific purpose for a specific timeframe. Once their charge has been satisfied and they have reported their findings to Town Council, the Ad Hoc Committee dissolves, and no further action is needed. At the time of dissolution, a resolution may be enacted to form a Commission in its place.
