Fourth of July Celebration Overview
Hello TC Residents,
We wanted to ensure you have as much information as possible for the Fourth of July Celebration activities! Please take a moment to read the following overview highlights for Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. We hope this information is helpful! Thank you for your patience and understanding during our Fourth of July Celebration events! We appreciate your support! See you on Tuesday!
PATRIOT 5K & 1 MILE FUN RUN:
- Patriot 5K at Byron Nelson High School (6:30 – 8:30 A) with race at 7:15 AM.
- Awards will be presented following the race.

PARADE OF PATRIOTS:
Parade float staging at Byron Nelson High School starting at 8:00 AM.
- TCPD will arrive on post for the parade and set up barricades at 9:00 AM.
***Streets will not be shut down until right before the parade begins. - Parade will start at 9:30 AM.
***Expected to last approximately 1 hour - Parade ends at approximately 10:30 AM.
- ROUTE: Route includes BNHS, Bobcat Blvd, SOUTH onto Trophy Club Drive, Durango, W. Parkview, and back to BNHS.

- Town Staff will take down Parade Banners and intersection signs in the afternoon, around 1:00 PM.

FIREWORKS CELEBRATION:
- The Fireworks Celebration event takes place from 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM at Independence Park East - 500 Parkview Dr.
- PARKING: Check out the many places to PARK/SHUTTLE this year.
- WHAT'S FREE: Entry INTO the event and the concert are FREE for everyone! Children's activities are all FREE, and no wristbands are required!
- FOOD: There are 16 excellent food vendors this year. Save some room for some delicious eats!
- SEATING: Lawn seating has first come, first serve and is available for the live band, LIMELIGHT (Bring your chairs and blankets..please no tarps).
- FIREWORKS: Fireworks start around 9:40 PM, and all field lights will go out around 9:30 PM! Check out where the best places to VIEW the FIREWORKS are this year! Be sure to find your family and claim a spot before dark! Want to hear the MUSIC during the FIREWORKS? NO PROBLEM, CLICK HERE to rock along!
- FUN AFTER FIREWORKS: Stick around after the fireworks end, approximately 10:00 PM, as our food vendors will re-open, and the band will take the stage for an encore performance!
- MORE FIREWORKS CELEBRATION INFORMATION
- WEATHER: This event is NOT a RAIN OR SHINE EVENT!
- If inclement weather has the potential to pass, the Fireworks event will proceed as planned with a delay.
- If there are SUSTAINED winds > 20 MPH at the time of the fireworks launching, they will be unable to launch.
- If inclement weather is not likely to pass and the event is canceled, the rainout date for the fireworks will be scheduled. This would be for Fireworks only. Sadly, the event activities, delicious food, and fun music would be canceled and scheduled for another event in the future.
- MORE WEATHER CONTINGENCY PLANS
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:
- TOWN: Town Offices are CLOSED on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023. Emergency Services will remain in operation at all times.
- TRASH: Trash collection on Tuesday, July 04th, WILL TAKE PLACE! The weekly schedule will remain ON SCHEDULE, as will the collection on Friday, July 07th, 2023. More details are available here: www.trophyclub.org/trash
- POOL: The Community Pool/Splash Pad will open at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 4th, 2023.
