Wreaths Across America - TC Medlin Map Opens in new windowEach December, on National Wreaths Across America Day, wreaths are placed at Arlington National Cemetery with the intention of Remembering and Honoring those who have sacrificed their lives for the freedoms of this country. More than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad, join the effort by hosting ceremonies and honoring their local veterans.

Trophy Club continues to be honored to support this cause by hosting an event at Medlin Cemetery during the holiday season. Volunteers will be placing wreaths on the graves of our 71 veterans in the Medlin Cemetery. There will be a small ceremony before the wreaths are placed on the graves. This event is made possible through the coordination with the Trophy Club Fire, Police, Parks & Recreation Departments, and the Metroport Veterans Association

The wreaths at Medlin Cemetery will remain in place through the New Year, when the wreaths will then be collected and harvested. Medlin Cemetery began hosting this event in 2019 with the hope that it will remain a Trophy Club tradition that will continue on for years to come.

About Wreaths Across America:

copy-of-1graFrom the Revolutionary War to present-day conflicts, veterans are devoted sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, sisters and brothers. They come from all backgrounds in life to place those lives on the line for our freedoms. There are millions of individual stories to tell. Get to know them by viewing the 4,760 recent posts made by supporters or sponsor a wreath in honor of or in memory of an American hero.

Wreaths Across America understands that Veterans Day is in the fall and Memorial Day is in the spring. Still, service members sacrifice their time and safety every single day of the year to preserve our freedoms.

In many homes, there is an empty seat for one who is serving or one who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. There is no better time to express our appreciation than during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Their hope is that you will join them at any of our more than 2,100 participating locations to show veterans and their families that we will not forget. We will never forget.WAA_MasterLogo_WhiteTypeonDarkBG Opens in new window
