September 06, 2019:
The contractor has been directed and is currently installing temporary access from the new Phase 1 paving to the adjoining properties. Below is the latest scheduling provided to this office. If all circumstances hold out, this will put the construction right on the projected schedule. Thank you all for your patience. Construction is never fun but necessary, soon to be enjoyed.

August 15, 2019:
Staff has spoken with the NWISD representative in regards to the use of their parking lot at Lakeview Elementary. They have graciously agreed to allow parking in the extreme southeast lot on days when construction prohibits access to homeowners' immediate property. That should only take place when steel (re-bar) is being tied at pre-pour and again when the concrete is being placed and curing. Notice will be provided via email and from the site foreman as to when to expect days that individual and specific properties will be inaccessible. This will only be for private vehicles, and please, do not use the eastern lot that is in front of the school.
Also, the contractor has informed staff, in order to notify homeowners, on trash days when they will not be present. When they are working, they will re-locate trash to Village Trail. When they are not, staff will ask that homeowners do the same.
At this time everything is remaining on schedule.
August 09, 2019:
The following was recently received, “Water Line B should be completely installed, by the end of this week (8/9), with an anticipation of taking water samples Monday (8/12). All services connected over and testing completed by Wednesday (8/14). Pavement removal for phase one should begin beginning to middle of next week with the hopes of lime stabilization on Friday (8/16). If all goes as planned we will be back on schedule to be paving phase one sometime around 8/22.”
Homeowners will have access to their homes at all times other than post steel placement and concrete placement and curing. (approximately four days). Staff is still working with NWISD and expecting approval to use the parking lot at the school.
During this period, it will be acceptable to park, overnight, in the streets, temporarily, due to the construction. The Police Department is being notified and kept up to date with the progress.
August 05, 2019:
Staff has stayed in communication with the post office to try and resolve all reported mail issues. Next, staff is still speaking with the school district on a parking arrangement and combining it with the contractors scheduling. We have just received a schedule (attached) from them to identify work. If there is difficulty understanding, please contact the Community Development Department and they will assist you. Also, remember only one-half of the street will be done at a time where there will be displacement. We recommend making arrangements with your neighbors if possible on the opposite side of the street for convenience.Do not worry about your incoming and outgoing traffic. The contractors are set to assist in your convenience.
July 22, 2019:
On Friday afternoon, the engineers of record, Teague Nall and Perkins, (TNP), released the NOTICE TO PROCEED letter to Jackson Construction, to begin the scheduled rebuild of the first of three phases of the latest Capital Improvement Project (CIP), beginning on Sundance Court.
Staff will be watching the project, as well as a representative from TNP, on a daily basis. Along with this project, will come some inconvenience, but we will try and keep it to a minimum.
We have set the mailbox and the post office has been notified to re-key and provide access to those directly affected. We are still in communication with the school district for temporary parking on their property. They are requesting additional information which will assist us in making sure that everyone necessary is accommodated. Staff will be contacting you later in the week for this information. Thank you in advance for your patience. We will get through this together.
