Parade of Patriots

D1X_0592_July 04, 2018The Parade of Patriots will begin at 9:30 a.m. and starts at Byron Nelson High School (BNHS). From BNHS the parade will turn left on Bobcat Boulevard, right on Trophy Club Drive, right on Durango, right on Parkview and the parade ends back at BNHS.

Residents are welcome to set up blankets and chairs along the parade route to enjoy the fun and creative float entries. Patriotic beads and American flags will be passed out 15 minutes prior to the start of the parade to all parade bystanders.

  • Please read and abide by the parade rules listed on the parade application.
  • Floats check in at 8:15 a.m. and the parade begins at 9:30 a.m.
  • Parade floats will be judged in the following categories:
    • American Flag Award - Best use of American Flags.
    • Judge’s Favorite
    • Most Creative Float
    • Most Creative Golf Cart
    • Mayor’s Award
  • All floats will be judged before the parade starts (in the BNHS parking) at 9:00am.

Important Information for Residents

Here is some important information for residents of The Lakes, Meadow Ridge and Royal Troon neighborhoods. Access in and out of neighborhoods along the parade route will be blocked by the parade from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Two-way traffic will flow from Trophy Club Dr. to Galloway Blvd. in the North bound lane. Please follow all event directional signs during this time.

Traffic Impact:

Vehicle traffic altered during the 4th of July Parade, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM

With pedestrian and participant safety in mind, the Trophy Club Police Department will be altering traffic patterns during the annual Parade of Patriots, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. As is illustrated on the PARADE TRAFFIC MAP, areas located within the boundaries of Bobcat Drive, Trophy Club Drive, Durango Drive, and Parkview Drive will have NO VEHICLE ACCESS other than for emergencies during that period. Police officers, volunteers, barriers, dividers, and signage will be in place to keep people safe. Please plan accordingly on July 4th to accommodate your travel plans.
