You may be eligible for dismissal of your charge by completing Deferred Disposition, which is a form of probation set by the Judge not to exceed 180 days. During your probation, certain conditions may be imposed by the Judge, such as not receiving another violation in the Town of Trophy Club, completing a Driving Safety Course if you are under the age of 25, or performing community service. You will also be required to pay all fines and fees set by the Judge. You may also be required to complete Upon completion of Deferred Disposition, the violation will show as a dismissal and conviction will not be reported to the State of Texas.
Eligibility for Deferred Disposition requires that:
- You do not possess a CDL license
- You have not been on Deferred Disposition with the Town of Trophy Club in the last 6 months
- You are not charged with speeding more than 25 mph or more over the posted speed limit
Costs & Fees
You will need to contact the Court office for the costs and fees related to your violation. Failure to comply with the terms of Deferred Disposition will result in you being scheduled for a Show Cause docket before the Judge. Your probation will not automatically be revoked. However, failure to appear for the Show Cause docket will result in a final judgment of guilty being entered on the docket, a conviction being reported to your record, and a warrant being issued for any costs that remain due on the violation.
