The Trophy Club Town Council and Trophy Club Municipal Utility District No. 1 Board of Directors met Wednesday, March 19, 2014 to finalize the terms of an agreement for a long-term utility contract between the two organizations. The Council and Board of Directors agreed to a 99-year wholesale contract for the District to provide water and wastewater utility services to the Trophy Club Public Improvement District (PID) residents, which represents approximately 1400 households located outside the District boundaries. UPDATE (March 7, 2014) --- The Town Council held a Public Hearing on Monday, March 3, 2014 and discussed the PD-30 development standards amendment request from the Trophy Club Town Center developer. Six residents addressed Council with various questions, concerns and suggestions. The two main issues discussed were the townhomes and the retail-ready component of the proposed amendment. After a lengthy discussion and negotiations, the Town Council voted to approve the PD-30 development standards amendments by a vote of 5-1.

Recently, several Trophy Club residents submitted logo concepts for consideration as the next Town of Trophy Club logo (logos A - I pictured below). Additionally, logos developed by Town staff that were placed on the Town's Facebook page and sent out on Survey Monkey (logo J). Below are the logos submitted by residents and the top logo designed by staff that generated the highest favorability on the survey and Facebook. Based on feedback and community branding best practices, the Town Council will consider a new Town of Trophy Club logo in January…

In the afternoon hours on Friday, October 4 the Town of Trophy Club was notified that a lift station across State Highway 114 in Westlake overflowed.  Subsequently, sewage has moved downstream into the Trophy Club creek behind the homes located on Brook Hollow Lane and across Indian Creek into the pond at Hogan’s Glen. Immediate steps are being taken by Westlake, in cooperation with the Town of Trophy Club and TC MUD 1, to clean up the sewage from affected waterways.

Town Council Adopts $14.6 Million FY13-14 Budget, Lowers Tax Rate

On September 23, the Trophy Club Town Council unanimously approved a balanced $14,642,151 FY13-14 Budget, which officially took effect on October 1, 2013. Revenues are projected to exceed expenditures by $82,578, a savings that reflects the innovative and cost saving approaches utilized by Town Management. The FY13-14 Budget is based on a property tax rate of $0.4993 per $100 assessed valuation, which is a $0.019243 decrease from the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
