Indy is home from training in Indiana and we are so excited to welcome him to the community! Bring the kids and come meet Indy on Saturday, November 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Independence Park East (Indy’s namesake). Guests can meet Indy and take pictures, observe the badge ceremony and enjoy a live demonstration by Indy and his handler, Officer Barry Sullivan. All participants will receive a free commemorative gift featuring Indy!

The Town’s Finance Department continues to shine in government finance! For the first time, the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) presented the Town with the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) for the 2014 Trophy Club PAFR. The 2014 PAFR was the first time the Town published the document, which is designed to provide stakeholders a succinct, simple explanation of Town finances. On October 13, 2015, the Trophy Club Town Council approved amendments to the Town’s sign regulation ordinance that affects the use of signs/sign placement in Trophy Club. The Town regulates signs in order to provide a balanced system of signage throughout the town, help facilitate communication, promote public safety, minimize visual clutter and enhance property values and business opportunities within Trophy Club. Sign regulations help maintain the Town’s attractive appearance for the betterment of the community.

Town Council will canvass the election results at the November 13, 2015 Special Call Meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the Svore Municipal Building Boardroom (100 Municipal Dr.).

Update (December 2, 2015) --- Denton County Health Department officials have confirmed two human cases of West Nile Virus (WNV) in Trophy Club. One resident lives on Pebble Beach and the other lives on Sherwood, and both contracted the milder form of the virus (West Nile fever). Officials believe the individuals were likely bit in October and diagnosed in November.
So far in 2015 Denton County has eight (9) confirmed human cases and Trophy Club has two (2) of those cases.
