Portion of Skyline Drive Closed Temporarily Beginning May 5

As part of the Timber Ridge Drainage Improvements project, a portion of Skyline Drive will be closed daily beginning Monday, May 5 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday). The section of Skyline affected by the closure runs from Indian Creek to Overhill Drive. During the project, drivers will be detoured along Indian Creek and Skyline side streets, as indicated on the map below. From TxDOT --- Ground is breaking on a project to add capacity to SH 121 from a four-lane rural roadway to a 10-lane urban freeway with frontage roads. The project is located in the same neighborhood as the DFW Connector project which is in its last stages and the adjoining FM 2499 widening project just gearing up. The 2.5 mile stretch of roadway cuts through three counties; Dallas, Tarrant and Denton, and borders the cities of Grapevine and Coppell. Town Council Adopts $14.6 Million FY13-14 Budget, Lowers Tax Rate

On September 23, the Trophy Club Town Council unanimously approved a balanced $14,642,151 FY13-14 Budget, which officially took effect on October 1, 2013. Revenues are projected to exceed expenditures by $82,578, a savings that reflects the innovative and cost saving approaches utilized by Town Management. The FY13-14 Budget is based on a property tax rate of $0.4993 per $100 assessed valuation, which is a $0.019243 decrease from the 2012-2013 fiscal year.

Update (January 27, 2014) --- We have just received word from TX DoT that SEMA Construction is planning to fully open the SH 114 westbound lanes Thursday evening, January 30. If weather cooperates, contractors will begin striping operations early Thursday morning and traffic will be one lane while striping work is in progress (all traffic control devices are expected to be picked up by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday). If necessary, additional work may be done Friday, January 31 during the day. Expect delays during this transition period.
