Update (October 1, 2015) --- The Town Council adopted the FY15-16 Town Budget on September 22, 2015. The formal budget is currently under development, but the approved budget is available for review. The FY15-16 budget is based on a $0.484/$100 valuation tax rate, which is a $0.006 reduction over last years tax rate. 

The Town Manager’s Office and Finance Department presented the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 (FY15-16) Proposed Budget to Town Council on July 31, 2015 in accordance with the Town Charter.…

Street Signs Upgraded with High Reflectivity & Town Logo

The Street Services Department began upgrading street signs this week as part of the annual sign replacement program, as well as to bring older signs up to federal and state transportation code and increase sign visibility for drivers and emergency responders. The new street signs will be placed at intersections along major thoroughfares, including Trophy Club Drive, Indian Creek, Trophy Wood and Trophy Lake Drive. UPDATE (Monday, October 13, 2014) --- Due to the rain and high winds, the markings in the roundabout will not be painted today. The project is anticipated to take place around the Thanksgiving holiday, weather permitting. We will post an update when a new date and time is scheduled.

The inside lane of the roundabout will be closed from 9:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, October 13 in order for the Streets Services department to repaint traffic markings on the pavement. Traffic will continue…

From the Texas Department of Transportation (July 24, 2014) — Traffic Alert: WESTLAKE – Beginning Wednesday, August 6, 2014 work will begin to close a small section of J.T. Ottinger Road between the SH 170 frontage roads. This will prevent the crossing of SH 170 east and westbound which is a safety concern. This will also prevent westbound traffic in the left lane from slowing down to turn left (southbound) onto J.T. Ottinger Road.

The entrance to the Abbey Moor neighborhood will soon be improved to provide drivers with easier and safer access in and out of the subdivision. Lennar Homes will be altering the median along Yorkshire Drive, where larger vehicles have had difficulties negotiating the tight turns, often resulting in driving over curbs and landscaping. Lennar will be relocating the existing Abbey Moor entry sign and shortening the Yorkshire median, which will also help with drivers negotiating the turn at Sherwood Drive. The rehabilitation of Indian Creek from Edgemere Drive to Meadowbrook Lane will begin on Monday, June 16 and the project is expected to be completed by June 26, 2015.
