A new local youth sports association, Trophy Club-Roanoke Track and Field Association (TCRTFA), has been created to provide children with an encouraging and successful track and field experience. Participants will learn correct form, teamwork, and how to maintain healthy habits. TCRTFA is a non-profit organization for children grades K-6, of all abilities, who attend school in the Northwest Independent School District (NISD). Freedom Dog Park users who experience/witness aggressive dogs should call the non-emergency dispatch number and report the issue. Making the Town aware of incidents allows us to track issues and appropriately handle dogs and owners who do not comply with the park guidelines. We want to ensure the park remains safe for all users.

The recently constructed drainage channel running through the large side of the dog park from Balmoral Drive requires further extension to help alleviate the ponding within the wooded area of the park. The pilot channel continuation will guide water through the park and improve muddy conditions for dog park users. The Town is currently receiving quotes for the drainage channel extension project.

Congratulations to Greater NW Soccer Association (GNWSA) girls soccer team, The Fillies, for recently winning the Tournament of Champions!
U10 Girls Fillies Rec Soccer Team, coached by Randy Blair, won the North Texas Soccer 2014 U10 Girls Division 2 Tournament of Champions on December 7th. The age group was divided into Division 1 and 2 for big and small soccer associations.
