The Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) Rehab Project that began on May 18, 2013 has concluded and all units of the TCPD will return to the building today (Friday, June 21, 2013). The TCPD still has a lot unpacking and house cleaning to do, which is expected to take an additional two to three weeks to complete. Police Chief Scott Kniffen believes that the project has led the department to evaluate what supplies and equipment should be kept, sold at auction, or disposed of to allow for more open workspace and storage. The rehab project has brought…

Trophy Club Police Department Installs New Dashboard Video System

The Trophy Club Police Department recently upgraded the police camera system in all four patrol vehicles to the Watch Guard 4RE Digital Video system. The change in camera systems only cost the Town approximately $6,000, since the Denton County Sheriff's Office contributed approximately $25,000 toward the new camera system. Watch Guard is a highly regarded manufacturer of law enforcement products and holds 25% of the market share for police camera systems in the United States. June is Speed Awareness Month - SLOW DOWN IN TOWN

Speeding has become a safety issue in Trophy Club neighborhoods and in order to maintain a safe and secure community, drivers must SLOW DOWN IN TOWN. The Town is launching a month-long speeding awareness campaign that will focus on educating drivers regarding the risks and dangers involved in speeding. The goal is to ensure that drivers adhere to the posted 30 mile per hour speed limit throughout town and reduce speed within neighborhoods when appropriate.

UPDATE: Storm Shelter Rebate Program Begins June 5

Updated on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 9:45 a.m.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) opened the Safe Room Rebate program around 1:15 a.m. and by 5:00 a.m. the site was closed and the rebates were gone.  NCTCOG hopes to appeal to FEMA for additional funds based on the overwhelming response to this rebate program. We will keep you posted if the program receives further funding. Trophy Club received 33 applications for storm shelter permits.
