Fire Department Hosts Air Medical Training Next Week

The Trophy Club Fire Department routinely attends continuing education training in order to maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to any particular emergency.  Communicating and working with air medical transportation in the event a patient needs rapid transport to a hospital requires specialized training and coordination with other agencies.

Trophy Club shares a border with hundreds of acres of natural, undeveloped property that is home to a large wildlife population. Many variables, including weather, climate changes, the season, human behavior, etc can cause the wildlife to move into residential neighborhoods seeking shelter, food and water sources. These animals, although sometimes a nuisance, are generally not a danger to humans or pets (and want to avoid people as much as people want to avoid them).

On Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 at approximately 2:42 p.m. Trophy Club Police Officers were dispatched to the DATCU Credit Union located inside the Tom Thumb grocery store at 101 Trophy Lake Dr., Trophy Club, for a robbery that had just occurred. Officers were advised the suspect had already fled the scene. The suspect was described as a white male, late 40’s to early 50’s with a salt and pepper mustache. For the second year in a row, the Stars and Stripes volunteers will paint the town red, white, and blue by planting over 25,000 American flags along Trophy Club roadways to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday.

Flags have been ordered and delivered to Street Captains who have been assigned sections of Trophy Club for planting and harvesting. Over 600 volunteers - men, women, and children - from all over Trophy Club will load up wagons, bicycles, golf carts and backpacks with American flags. The flags will be placed every 12 feet at the…

The Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) Rehab Project that began on May 18, 2013 has concluded and all units of the TCPD will return to the building today (Friday, June 21, 2013). The TCPD still has a lot unpacking and house cleaning to do, which is expected to take an additional two to three weeks to complete. Police Chief Scott Kniffen believes that the project has led the department to evaluate what supplies and equipment should be kept, sold at auction, or disposed of to allow for more open workspace and storage. The rehab project has brought…
