Fire Department Receives Lone Star Achievement Award

The Trophy Club Fire Department (TCFD), along with 14 neighboring northeast Tarrant County fire departments, received the 2013 Lone Star Achievement Award at the Texas Fire Chief's annual conference in February. The award was given to the Northeast Fire Department Association (NEFDA), of which TCFD is a member. TCFD received the crystal award (pictured) on May 8, 2014.

On Thursday evening, Commander Lee Delk with the Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) met with an organizer of “Fugitive” and discussed several issues in regards to playing Fugitive in Trophy Club. At the Town Council meeting on Monday, April 21, 2014, Chief Scott Kniffen of the Trophy Club Police Department presented numerous awards to the officers at the Annual Awards and Commendations Presentation. Chief Kniffen began the awards presentation, as always, by praising the efforts and commitment of the officers and staff members of the Department. The Trophy Club Police Department has responded to 23 burglaries and thefts since March 28, 2014. Out of those incidents, 18 were vehicle burglaries where the owners left their vehicles unlocked, one was the theft of a toolbox from the bed of a pickup, one was a theft of landscape lights from a residential yard, and three were forced entry burglaries in The Vineyards Apartments. Pedestrian safety is the primary concern for diverting foot and bicycle traffic to cross Bobcat at Marshall Creek, instead of at Parkview, during the medical office construction project located at Bobcat and Parkview. Please make sure kids know to stay clear of the construction site and understand where they can safely cross Bobcat. The crossing guard stationed at Bobcat and Parkview is directing students to the crosswalk at Bobcat and Marshall Creek. On Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. the Trophy Club Police Department will be accepting expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications from Trophy Club residents’ medicine cabinets. The program is anonymous for participants and all medications collected will be destroyed.

Residents can drop off unwanted medicines at the Trophy Club Police Station, located at 100 Municipal Drive.
