Citizens Police Academy — Begins August 21st

Interested in learning about the “real” world of Law Enforcement and policing Trophy Club style?  Join the Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) as a member of the 2014 Fall Citizen’s Police Academy, which starts on:

August 21 at 7:00 p.m.

Classes run for 11 weeks and are every Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., or until the last question is asked, at the Fire Department Training Room (295 Trophy Club Drive).

Update (July 23, 2014) --- Freedom Dog Park will reopen to the public on Wednesday, July 30th after almost two weeks of precautionary measures to decontaminate the park. Crews had to wait until the ground dried completely from the rains last Thursday before beginning the process of cleaning and disinfecting. All visible dog feces will be removed and all drinking bowls replaced. The dog park will receive two rounds of remediation utilizing a diluted bleach solution to spray all areas where feces was found,…

The entrance to the Abbey Moor neighborhood will soon be improved to provide drivers with easier and safer access in and out of the subdivision. Lennar Homes will be altering the median along Yorkshire Drive, where larger vehicles have had difficulties negotiating the tight turns, often resulting in driving over curbs and landscaping. Lennar will be relocating the existing Abbey Moor entry sign and shortening the Yorkshire median, which will also help with drivers negotiating the turn at Sherwood Drive. With many homes without power since about 1:50 p.m. today, we have opened the Fire Station to residents who need a cool place to wait/stay until power is restored. There are cots for beds, but please bring sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, etc. For questions or more information, please call 682-831-4630.

Please do not be alarmed at an increased police presence at BNHS on Monday, June 23 through Thursday, June 26. Several agencies will be conducting active shooter training at the school.

Beginning Monday June 23rd, the Trophy Club Police Department will host four days of training at Byron Nelson High School (BNHS). Other participating agencies include Argyle, Keller, Northlake, Roanoke and Southlake.
