The Trophy Club Police Department is accepting expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications from Trophy Club residents’ medicine cabinets. The program is anonymous for participants and all medications collected will be destroyed.

Saturday, September 26
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Residents can drop off the unwanted medicines at the police station, located at 100 Municipal Drive.

Denton County Health Department – The Denton County Health Department (DCHD) is reporting its first human case of West Nile Virus (WNV).  The Texas Department of State Health Services confirmed the case of WNV in a Lewisville resident today.

A dog that recently visited Freedom Dog Park has been diagnosed with parvovirus and as a precaution the Town has closed the dog park for cleaning and sanitation. The dog park will receive remediation utilizing a diluted bleach solution to spray all areas where feces was found, as well as dog equipment, dog wash stations, drinking fountains, entry ways, etc. The irrigation will  run in the evening and/or morning as necessary, and crews will conduct a final sweep of the dog park. The Byron Nelson High School (BNHS) Football Team is offering to do yard work for elderly, disabled or single parent residents as a community service project. The group is looking for individuals who need some help, so if you know anyone who could use a little yard work, please send an email to CleanMyYard2015@gmail.com with details. A community-wide observance of the 64th Annual National Day of Prayer for the citizens of Roanoke, Trophy Club, and Westlake and surrounding areas will be held on May 7 at 12 noon at the Trophy Club Clock Tower located at the town’s main entrance.  The event will be filled with prayer for our nation and its governmental leaders, military, media, businesses, schools, churches and families.
