Town of Trophy Club FY13-14 Budget Workshop

On Friday, August 2 the Trophy Club Town Staff provided a FY13-14 proposed budget overview to the Town Council during a Workshop Session that lasted approximately 5.5 hours. The proposed budget is based on a $0.4975 property tax rate per $100 valuation, which represents a $0.02 decrease on the current tax rate. For the first time in Trophy Club history the taxable value exceeds the $1 billion mark.

The Town of Trophy Club has planned a Town Hall Meeting for Thursday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lake Cities Church of Christ. Recently, the Town Council proposed a Strategic Partnership Agreement between the Town, TC MUD 1 and Westlake that laid out a plan to consolidate the TC MUD 1 government with the Town of Trophy Club government and provide for appropriate negotiations with Westlake in regards to Solana. On June 24, 2013, the Town Council took Executive Action to form a Blue Ribbon Panel comprised of 12 TC MUD 1 and Public Improvement District (PID) residents.The Panel will be charged with investigating the optimal solution to the future TC MUD 1 and Town government structure by:

  • examining the current government structure in Trophy Club,
  • researching best practices for municipal government and
  • providing a recommendation to the Council regarding a local government consolidation.
