The Town Council recognized several Trophy Club Emergency Responders on November 18, 2013 for their heroic efforts to save a resident's life. The following excerpt was read by Fire Chief Danny Thomas, who along with Chief of Police Scott Kniffen, then recognized the first responders with Life Saving Awards.

Major Development Milestone Achieved: Town Council Approves Final Two Plats in The Highlands

In 2007, the Town of Trophy Club created the first municipally bonded Public Improvement District (PID) in the state of Texas, and on November 4, 2013 the Town Council approved the final two plats for The Highlands at Trophy Club only six years after the 697 acre PID development started. When the PID was created, about 7,067 residents called Trophy Club home. Today the estimated population is 10,326, and the growth over the past few years is primarily due to the creation of the PID.

The Town of Trophy Club recently launched a survey to gather community input regarding four proposed logo concepts.

The current logo presents many challenges in regards to basic functionality (does not convert well in black & white, contains several elements (cluttered), appears dated, does not look good when used as a small icon, no knowledge of color use, etc.). On Tuesday, October 22, Trophy Club volunteers gathered at the Fire Station for dinner and comradery, as well as to receive recognition, thanks and gratitude from Town and TC MUD 1 staff and elected officials for all the hard work contributed over the past year. Seeking Candidates for Denton Appraisal Review Board

The Denton Central Appraisal District is accepting applications from Denton County residents who are interested in serving on the Denton Appraisal Review Board (ARB). Applications are due by Friday, November 15, 2013. To serve on the ARB, residents must currently reside in Denton County and have lived within the county for at least two years. The meeting schedule is fairly rigorous from late May through July, but more information, including the application, is available in the informational packet.
