Next year marks the Town of Trophy Club's 30th anniversary and the Town Council is looking for residents to serve on an ad-hoc committee to plan a community-wide celebration. The 30th Anniversary Committee will set its own meeting schedule and any Trophy Club resident is welcome to assist.
Please email TCturns30@trophyclub.org if you would like to participate in the planning. Email your desire to participate by July 11, 2014.

At the Monday, June 2 meeting the Town Council voted unanimously to change regularly scheduled meetings to the second and fourth Tuesday of each month in order to accommodate elected official work schedules. The new meeting schedule will begin on Tuesday, July 22, which will be the only Council meeting held in July. The Town Council previously met on the first and third Monday of each month.

On Monday, May 19 the Trophy Club Town Council canvassed and certified the May 10, 2014 General and Special Election results. Following the election canvassing, the outgoing Council Members, including Mayor Connie White, Bill Rose and Jeannette Tiffany, were recognized for their dedicated service to the community over the years. The incoming Council Members, including Mayor-elect Nick Sanders, Jim Parrow, Garrett Reed and Rhylan Rowe were administered the Oath of Office and presented with Certificates of Election by Judge Mark Chambers.

The Trophy Club municipal offices will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2014 in observance of Memorial Day. Trash and recycling will run as regularly scheduled. The municipal offices will re-open for regular business hours on Tuesday, May 27.

The Texas Comptroller’s office has named Trophy Club as one of only 39 municipalities in Texas to achieve their new Platinum award for financial transparency in the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle. The Platinum designation was implemented this year and spotlights entities that go above and beyond regarding financial transparency. The award recognizes local governments across Texas that implement a high level of online financial transparency by providing taxpayers with a detailed picture of government spending in a user-friendly format.

On Monday, May 5 the Town Council, along with a packed audience, honored the 2013 Citizen of the Year (COY) nominees and recipients by recognizing the various community service projects and hard work each nominee provided to the community. The Trophy Club COY Committee (made up of past recipients) reviews all nominations and selects an Adult and Youth recipient based on the individuals contributions to the community.
