Major Development Milestone Achieved: Town Council Approves Final Two Plats in The Highlands

In 2007, the Town of Trophy Club created the first municipally bonded Public Improvement District (PID) in the state of Texas, and on November 4, 2013 the Town Council approved the final two plats for The Highlands at Trophy Club only six years after the 697 acre PID development started. When the PID was created, about 7,067 residents called Trophy Club home. Today the estimated population is 10,326, and the growth over the past few years is primarily due to the creation of the PID.

The Town of Trophy Club recently launched a survey to gather community input regarding four proposed logo concepts.

The current logo presents many challenges in regards to basic functionality (does not convert well in black & white, contains several elements (cluttered), appears dated, does not look good when used as a small icon, no knowledge of color use, etc.). Over the past few weeks, unknown person or persons burglarized several vehicles in Trophy Club with most burglaries resulting in some type of property loss. The common theme for the burglaries was each vehicle was left unlocked by the owner. The burglaries occurred in the Oak Hill, Wilshire and Durango areas of Trophy Club. Residents are reminded to always remove items from your vehicle that can be removed and to keep your vehicles locked at all times when unattended.

The Trophy Club Emergency Volunteer Association (TCEVA) has waited a long time to unveil the new reflective graphics on the group’s emergency response trailer…and the trailer looks AWESOME!

In the fall of 2012, the police department approached the Byron Nelson High School (BNHS) art department to help develop graphics for the side of the trailer. BNHS art students went to work designing artwork concepts and the student who came up with the basis for the trailer design is Connor Duffy. This holiday season giving back to those in need is easy with convenient drop off locations for Toys for Tots and the Holiday Food Drive benefitting the Roanoke Food Pantry.

Toys For Tots

Drop off unwrapped toys valued at $10 or more from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, December 15, 2013. The toys will be gathered and passed along to the US Marine Corps for distribution.
