UPDATE (Friday, May 2, 2014) --- Trophy Club Works With "Fugitive" Organizers to Ensure Community Safety

On Thursday evening, Commander Lee Delk with the Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) met with an organizer of “Fugitive” and discussed several issues in regards to playing Fugitive in Trophy Club. The positive meeting resulted in mutual agreement of the rules and possible negative implications if the rules are not followed. At the Town Council meeting on Monday, April 21, 2014, Chief Scott Kniffen of the Trophy Club Police Department presented numerous awards to the officers at the Annual Awards and Commendations Presentation. Chief Kniffen began the awards presentation, as always, by praising the efforts and commitment of the officers and staff members of the Department. The annual State of the Town is always an honor to present, but this year I am particularly pleased with the Town’s accomplishments, position and direction. Trophy Club has experienced fast-paced growth in recent years. UPDATE (Thursday, September 11, 2014) --- West Nile Virus (WNV) Reporting Update for:

Dallas County:  As of August 30, 2014 there have been six confirmed human cases of WNV; one in Coppell, one in Farmers Branch and four in Dallas. Ninety-nine mosquito tests have been returned with positive results for the virus, out of a total 89,614 tests in 2014.

Denton County:  As of September 5, 2014 there have been no reported human cases of WNV, and 38 mosquito tests have been returned with positive results…

Local elections are in full swing and Trophy Club voters will not only be electing candidates for Town Council, TC MUD 1 & NISD, but also considering two ballot propositions:

  • Proposition 1 – The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the Town of Trophy Club at the rate of one-fourth of one percent (0.25%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the 10th anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.

The North Texas health departments of Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties are again coordinating their planning efforts to make a collective impact on this year’s West Nile virus season.

The 2012 West Nile virus season was unexpected and took a significant toll on the health of citizens of the North Texas region. Ground and aerial spraying were used in areas of the region to reduce the mosquito population potentially carrying the virus. In 2013, North Texas health departments enhanced collaborations to prevent a potential recurrence.…

Update (May 2, 2014): The Water Conservation Plan and Drought Contingency & Emergency Water Plan for PID residents were both unanimously approved at the April 21, 2014 Town Council Meeting. For citizens of Trophy Club residing outside of the PID, a similar set of plans was approved by the TC MUD No. 1 on April 22, 2014 and can be viewed online here.

Please be aware that with the adoption of these plans, all residents within Trophy Club will be held to a similar requirement as the City of Fort Worth, with outdoor watering…
