Trophy Club Chief of Police, Scott Kniffen, will retire on September 26, 2014 after 40 years in law enforcement. Chief Kniffen has led the Trophy Club Police Department since September 2006 and faithfully served the citizens of Trophy Club for eight years. He and his wife Joanne have purchased acreage in Clyde, Texas, and look forward to a slow-paced retirement in a tight-knit community with deep family roots.

Chief Kniffen leaves large shoes to fill and will be missed by co-workers, law enforcement peers and many in the Trophy Club…

Trophy Club Fire Department Breast Cancer T-shirts On Sale

Breast cancer awareness t-shirts are now available for pre-order at the Municipal Building (100 Municipal Dr.) or the Fire Station (295 Trophy Club Dr.). The cost to pre-order is $15 per shirt, payable at time of order by cash (preferred) or personal check. Shirts will be available for pick up after September 29, and open stock t-shirts will be for sale for $20 each. Net proceeds go to breast cancer research. UPDATE (Monday, October 13, 2014) --- Due to the rain and high winds, the markings in the roundabout will not be painted today. The project is anticipated to take place around the Thanksgiving holiday, weather permitting. We will post an update when a new date and time is scheduled.

The inside lane of the roundabout will be closed from 9:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, October 13 in order for the Streets Services department to repaint traffic markings on the pavement. Traffic will continue to flow in the outside lane…

The 4th annual Trophy Dog Photo Contest has officially begun! Every year the Town of Trophy Club hosts a Facebook contest to discover the most photogenic dogs and celebrate PetFest on September 20 at Freedom Dog Park. Anyone is welcome to submit one picture of their pooch on the Trophy Dog Photo Contest Facebook page.

Beck Elementary Principal, Sandy Conklin, and Parent Teacher Association announced the adoption of a stray bulldog on Tuesday, August 26. Students were introduced to the adoptee as they entered for the first day of class. Beck Elementary students will learn how to be responsible pet owners as they provide Beck’s new Bulldog a loving forever home!

A contest to name the bulldog begins Tuesday, August 26. Contest participation is exclusive to Beck students and a panel of Beck staff, students and PTA members, will decide on the final name.…
