On Monday, May 5 the Town Council, along with a packed audience, honored the 2013 Citizen of the Year (COY) nominees and recipients by recognizing the various community service projects and hard work each nominee provided to the community. The Trophy Club COY Committee (made up of past recipients) reviews all nominations and selects an Adult and Youth recipient based on the individuals contributions to the community.

The Spring Community Clean Up event is just around the corner! On Saturday, May 17, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Byron Nelson High School Northwest parking lot, Allied Waste will be available to all Trophy Club residents to accept unwanted household hazardous waste products. Proof of residency is required to participate in this clean up (please bring driver's license with current Trophy Club address, utility bill, etc. for proof). Large dumpsters, electronic recycling and document shredding will also be available.

On Thursday, April 17 at approximately 10:00 a.m. join the Town in celebrating the BNHS boys and girls soccer teams in a community send-off as they depart Trophy Club and head to the 2014 UIL State Championships! The team caravan will depart BNHS and drive by Medlin Middle School, Beck Elementary, and Lakeview Elementary before heading out to SH 114.
Leading into this advancement, both teams dominated in the Regional Finals, with results as follows:
BNHS Girls vs. Arlington Heights 2-0
BNHS Boys vs. El Paso Andress 5-2

Pedestrian safety is the primary concern for diverting foot and bicycle traffic to cross Bobcat at Marshall Creek, instead of at Parkview, during the medical office construction project located at Bobcat and Parkview. Please make sure kids know to stay clear of the construction site and understand where they can safely cross Bobcat. The crossing guard stationed at Bobcat and Parkview is directing students to the crosswalk at Bobcat and Marshall Creek. Saturday, April 12, 2014 marks the 2nd Annual Live Like Josh 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament! The tournament grew this year and has been moved to the Byron Nelson High School gymnasium. The tournament schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and anyone is welcome to play! Registration is available at: http://leaguelineup.com/live_like_josh
