Byron Nelson High School (BNHS) Virtual Enterprise International (VEI - the BNHS Business Management Program) students are headed to the International Youth Business Summit in NYC in April to compete in the Global Business Challenge, Business Plan Competition and International Trade Show. A new local youth sports association, Trophy Club-Roanoke Track and Field Association (TCRTFA), has been created to provide children with an encouraging and successful track and field experience. Participants will learn correct form, teamwork, and how to maintain healthy habits. Making the Town aware of incidents allows us to track issues and appropriately handle dogs and owners who do not comply with the park guidelines. Driver distraction causes one in five vehicle crashes, and the Trophy Club Police Department (TCPD) takes driver safety, especially in school zones, very seriously. A cell phone conversation, texting, emailing on a tablet, etc. is distracting, and safe driving requires eyes on the road, hands on the wheel and your mind on driving. Trophy Club is an active community and keeping pedestrians, cyclists and drivers unharmed is crucial to maintaining a safe community for residents and businesses.

The recently constructed drainage channel running through the large side of the dog park from Balmoral Drive requires further extension to help alleviate the ponding within the wooded area of the park. The pilot channel continuation will guide water through the park and improve muddy conditions for dog park users. The Town is currently receiving quotes for the drainage channel extension project.
