Each year, the Town hosts various events intended to unite friends, family, and neighbors in celebration. These events offer residents the chance to enjoy the community, participate in popular national holidays, and provide opportunities for fun educational experiences. On Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at approximately 4:45 p.m., a male in a green Ford Explorer or Escape approached two teenage girls walking home and asked for directions to the golf course. Upon providing directions, one of the girls observed the male with his zipper down and playing with something between his legs. The incident occurred at the corner of Morgan Lane and Highlands Drive.

News from TC MUD 1, who purchases water from the City of Fort Worth --- The Fort Worth Water Department is experiencing changes in the taste and odor of the drinking water coming from the Rolling Hills and Westside water treatment plants. The Water Department assures customers the water is safe for drinking, cooking, bathing and all other purposes, even though it has an earthy smell and taste.

Trophy Club Town Center Property Owner Requests Amendment to PD-30

UPDATE (March 7, 2014) --- The Town Council held a Public Hearing on Monday, March 3, 2014 and discussed the PD-30 development standards amendment request from the Trophy Club Town Center developer. Six residents addressed Council with various questions, concerns and suggestions. The two main issues discussed were the townhomes and the retail-ready component of the proposed amendment. After a lengthy discussion and negotiations, the Town Council voted to approve the PD-30 development standards amendments by a vote of 5-1.

From TC MUD 1 --- In order to fix a leak in a 16 inch water line at the corner of Veranda and Malin, water service to nearby customers will be disrupted during the emergency repair. The repair and water shutdown are expected to occur on Friday, January 10 after 8:00 a.m. and may take up to 10 hours to complete. Affected customers will receive door hangers with more information when a firm time for the repair is established.

UPDATE (January 17, 2014 at 1:29 pm) --- Reports have indicated that a 30-year-old Denton woman has became the fourth person to die of the flu in Denton County, health officials confirmed. The woman, who had received a flu shot, had no underlying medical conditions, according to Sarah McKinney, a spokesperson for the Denton County Health Department.

UPDATE (February 7, 2014 at 11:15 a.m.) --- Atmos has been in Trophy Club for the better part of six weeks analyzing their infrastructure in town. Crews have isolated three or four areas and have committed to making the necessary improvements to their system. Various street intersections throughout the Highlands have Atmos crews digging in order to fix issues. Soon Atmos will begin work to upsize a transmission line approximately 2300 feet from the sub-station at Trophy Lake and SH 114, which will provide additional volume and pressure…
