July 27, 2013 --- UPDATE: The Denton County Health Department (DCHD) has confirmed the first human case of West Nile virus for 2013 in the county. The patient is in his 40s, resides in the City of Denton, and has West Nile fever (the milder form of the illness). On June 24, 2013, the Town Council took Executive Action to form a Blue Ribbon Panel comprised of 12 TC MUD 1 and Public Improvement District (PID) residents.The Panel will be charged with investigating the optimal solution to the future TC MUD 1 and Town government structure by:
- examining the current government structure in Trophy Club,
- researching best practices for municipal government and

On Wednesday, July 10th, 2013 at approximately 2:42 p.m. Trophy Club Police Officers were dispatched to the DATCU Credit Union located inside the Tom Thumb grocery store at 101 Trophy Lake Dr., Trophy Club, for a robbery that had just occurred. Officers were advised the suspect had already fled the scene. The suspect was described as a white male, late 40’s to early 50’s with a salt and pepper mustache. Independence Day is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day honors both the founding fathers and military veterans who have fought to defend Americans freedoms from any and all threats.
