TC Spotlight - Police Captain Bobby Tillman

Bobby Tillman will be joining the Trophy Club Police Department as the Police Captain June 18, 2018, following nearly 35 years of law enforcement experience as a Police Officer, a Special Agent and Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and as Chief of Police.  

Captain Tillman has extensive experience conducting and supervising large scale, multi-jurisdictional criminal investigations including drugs, organized crime, and violent crime matters.  He has led FBI Agents and Police Officers in various capacities to include FBI Squad Supervisor, FBI Supervisory Senior Resident Agent, and Chief of Police.

Captain Tillman has strong leadership and management abilities which are reflected in his personal accomplishments and commendations along with those achieved by personnel and programs under his command.  Captain Tillman has received several letters of commendation from the FBI Director, the US Attorney General and other federal, state and local government officials for contributions to significant investigations and tactical operations.

Captain Tillman started his career with the Monroe Police Department where he was a Police Officer. He was responsible for conducting patrols, responding to calls for service, investigating complaints, and documenting investigative results and activities. Additionally, he worked as an undercover narcotics officer conducting large-scale drug investigations.

In 1990, Captain Tillman was appointed as an FBI Special Agent assigned to the Jackson, Mississippi office where he served as an FBI Academy Coordinator responsible for coordinating, tracking and documenting FBI training for the Jackson Division Agents.   

In 2007, Captain Tillman was transferred to the Gulfport Mississippi Resident Agency as Supervisor / Resident Agent in Charge where he was responsible for day-to-day supervision/management of personnel and large-scale investigations related to all criminal matters worked in the Gulfport, Pascagoula, and Hattiesburg Resident Agencies.  This included violent crime, white-collar crime, public corruption, and the HIDTA Initiative at Pascagoula.
Captain Tillman made his way back to Jackson Mississippi once again in 2009 and took over the Supervisor / Program Coordinator role within the FBI in charge of Violent Crime/Drug/Gang/OCDETF/CrimesAgainst Children Squad.

In 2014 Captain Tillman was transferred to Dallas to serve as an FBI Special Agent for the Dallas Division Violent Gang Squad/Dallas Safe Streets Task Force.  

In 2017, Captain Tillman retired from the FBI and returned to Jackson Mississippi to serve as the Chief of Police at the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority.  

He and his wife Niambi currently reside in Colleyville, TX and are the proud parents of four children.
