The Fort Worth Police Department shared a heads up for us regarding increased traffic due to a race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) will be hosting its annual Summer IRL race during the first part of June 2017. This race will once again feature the “Big Hoss” HD video board (the largest in the world) and the Rainguard Watersealers 600 Indy Race. The race weekend is scheduled to occur from Friday, June 9 until Saturday, June 10, 2017, with both races occurring in the evening.

This will mean that the roads and area surrounding Texas Motor Speedway will be congested with vehicles and people. Due to the continued construction on Highway 114, the traffic patterns may vary slightly from previous races. The average Indy race brings in approximately 40,000 race fans. Presently, there ARE events/races scheduled for Friday and Saturday evening.

If you have ANY questions, please feel free to email or call me. Please share this and future information concerning the race with HOA groups, neighborhood associations, and your neighbors.
