The Town Council of the Town of Trophy Club along with Old Town Development are pleased to announce that a new restaurant concept will be coming to the Trophy Wood District. Elias Pope of 8020 Hospitality Group with Brooke Humphries (Mudsmith, Barcadia, Pints & Quarts) have signed a lease with Old Town Development on a future building that will be at Hwy 114 and Trophy Wood Drive. Plans for the HG SPLY Co. branded concept - scheduled to open Spring / Summer of 2018 will feature about 24,000 square feet of space where guest can eat, work and play all under one roof.
In an effort by Trophy Club leadership to bring restaurants that suit the town’s culture and values to the project, the Town Council, Economic Development Corporation, and Tax Increment Reinvestment Board entered into a public-private partnership with Old Town Development to help bring high end, destination eateries to the district.
Although in the early planning stage, initial designs includes a yet-to-be named restaurant concept with a lifestyle focus that the HG SPLY CO. brand is known for, a 12,000 square foot covered patio, Mudsmith coffee shop, shared workspace, and small retail component.
Mayor Nick Sanders is excited about the new Trophy Club landscape and recently said, “Upon its completion, the Trophy Wood District will quickly become the venue of choice for families seeking a dining experience versus a fast meal and friends who desire ambiance over convenience. The addition of HG Sply Co. Restaurant will encourage everyone to shop locally and bolster an already healthy economy.”
