Tritons Win Big at State

The Trophy Club Triton’s brought home the hardware a couple weeks ago at the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s state meet in McAllen.  After qualifying 70 swimmers and winning the Region IV Championship meet, the Triton’s brought home 120 medals, 42 ribbons, and 12 State records with a 2nd place overall team finish. “I could not have been prouder of this team for making the commitment to go all the way down to McAllen for this meet.  The parents did a great job getting them there and the kids swam really well, said Coach Steve Melbourn.”   

First place finishes were recorded by Chris Hackler 50 Backstroke, Jarrod Carmody 100 IM, Jordan Brooks, Madison Scrivner, Kathryn Vieceli, and Olivia Vaughn 100 Medley Relay, Ben Brooks, Stephan Burraston, Jack Nickler, Jacob Grube, Jack Nickler 25 Butterfly and 25 Freestyle, Ryan Guthrie, Brandon Langer, Ty Milsap, and Daniel Sampognaro in the 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle Relays, Michael Brooks 50 Backstroke, Trevor Gardner 25 Freestyle, Scarlett Petz, Tyler Miller, Morgan Gardner, and Evie Nash 100 Medley Relay, Morgan Gardner 25 Freestyle, Michelle Priller, Daniela Readi, Hannah Reckmeyer, and Marika Scrivner 200 Medley Relay, Susette Damron 100 IM, and Anneke Miller 50 Breastroke.
