Trophy Club Stars & Stripes has become an annual tradition where residents work together to line the streets of Trophy Club with American flags. Flags are planted on July 2nd and harvested on July 5th. During those few days, our residents have the chance to experience a display of 35,00-40,000 flags waving throughout the town as they drive, bike, walk, and jog through the streets of Trophy Club. Each year we look for route, HOA and neighborhood captains to create teams of volunteers for flag planting.
ROUTE CAPTAINS are assigned a section of the main roads into and through Trophy Club: Trophy Wood, Trophy Lakes, Trophy Club Dr, Indian Creek, Trophy Park, etc. The flags for these sections are provided by the town.
HOA CAPTAINS help coordinate the collection of donations from neighbors for the flags to be planted along their streets. They may also ask for funds from within their HOA budget. Once they receive their flags, they will seek out additional volunteers to help line the streets with flags.
NEIGHBORHOOD CAPTAINS are very similar to an HOA captain, but do not live within the boundaries of an HOA. They would seek donations from their neighbors and organize volunteers to plant flags.
