On Saturday, July 18th the Trophy Club Police Explorers traveled to Rosenberg, Texas for their fist Explorer Competition since the post was re-established by Police Chief Patrick Arata last year. Trophy Club Explorers competed against 57 teams from across the state, which included posts from the US Border Patrol, Houston PD, Harris County Sheriff’s Office, Mesquite PD and others.

Trophy Club Explorers took Second Place in Active Shooter and First Place in DWI!

Events and scenarios lasted all day and included an Academic Challenge, Arrest And Search, Accident, Bike Course (advisors only), Bomb Search, Burglary In Progress, Building Search, Crime Scene, Crime Prevention, Crisis Intervention , Domestic Disturbance, DWI, Felony Traffic Stop, Misdemeanor Traffic Stop, Narcotics raid, Officer Down,  Physical Agility, Robbery In Progress, Shoot Don’t Shoot, Suspicious Person and Unknown Call.

All team events were role-play scenarios and lasted either 30 or 45 minutes. The Trophy Club Post is only nine-months-old and was competing against veteran posts with a lot of experience in competitions. The Explorers worked hard to prepare for the competition - sacrificing their weekends, spring break and a significant portion of their summer to practice.  They represented the Town well with the highest degree of service, honor and integrity. Great job to all Trophy Club Explorers!
